KUALA TERENGGANU, Dec 27 (Bernama) -- Syarikat Pak Nor Satar dan

Its operations manager, Mohd Sahir Mohd Nor said the company will try to
source the funds from several finance agencies to meet its capital
needs.
"The company is not running smoothly at present due to a lack of
capital. We need the money to buy more modern equipment to process the
satar and otak-otak as well as for additional working capital," he told
Bernama here today.
He said this was also one of the company's efforts to obtain the halal
certification in a bid to broaden its fish products market to the global
market in the future.
"Before penetrating the overseas markets, we hope our products will be
able to enter the local market through the supermarkets in the country,"
he said, adding the company has to overcome a few problems first
before entering the supermarkets.
The company currently markets its frozen fish products on a part-time
basis in Kajang and Puchong, both in Selangor, and would be available in
Melaka in the near future.
Syarikat Pak Nor Satar, which also makes products based on cuttlefish,
shrimps and crabs, now operates at Kampung Padang Polis, Batu Rakit,
here, with the assistance of seven workers.
Mohd Sahir said the company will increase its product quality from time
to time as he is optimistic the satar and otak-otak business has a
bright future.
