Its director, Wan Ahmad Uzir Wan Sulaiman said people approached by
individuals or agents of investment schemes could verify the status of
the company with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
"Members of the public can come to SSM to check whether an investment
company is registered with SSM. Investigation on Skim Pelaburan Beras
1Malaysia was still going on while Dynamic Wira Marketing was found not
registered with SSM," he said here Friday.
He said the scheme was a fraud and was now being investigated as a civil crime by police.
Wan Ahmad Uzir was commenting on the loss of RM2 million by 20
residents of Kampung Menjau Batu 21, after they were cheated by a man in
a rice investment scheme.
The cheating case was however only discovered after the offer of
lucrative dividends in rice investment scheme was not paid in the
two-month period as promised.
