Bhd will open a new Ar Rahnu branch in Kluang, Johor next week.

In a statement Monday, Koperasi Tentera said the new branch, at 45,
Jalan Rambutan, will be its third after Sungai Besi here and Sungai
Udang in Melaka.
"For the cooperative, the investment in Islamic pawn broking business
is notable considering that many consumers are looking at gold as
investment assets.
"The response is encouraging, including from the non-Muslims because
the cooperative's charges are low compared to others offering the
Ar-Rahnu services," it said.
Koperasi Tentera started its Ar-Rahnu business in July this year and
offered loans of up to 70 per cent the value of the gold assets, it
said.
