KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- Bank Rakyat Bhd opened its 49th Ar-Rahnu X'Change branch in Tangkak, Johor, yesterday.

Of the 49 Ar-Rahnu X'Change branches, 32 are owned and managed by
cooperatives under the Ar-Rahnu X'Change franchise system, the bank said
in a statement.
Ar-Rahnu X'Change offers Islamic pawnbroking service for cash of up to
RM100,000, with a minimum of 65 sen safe deposit charges for every RM100
worth of gold pawned, the bank added.
