Group Vice President - Asia Pacific & Japan, Stephen Lafay said the group's market share had been growing steadily in Malaysia as it posted double-digit growth in sales every year.

"Currently, the market in Malaysia is growing very fast, and we try to make the best of it. We are very positive the local market will continue to grow in the future with high double-digit growth," he told Bernama.

Lafay said the growing affluence would drive consumption in Malaysia, mainly for its renowned white diamond for engagements and weddings.

To further boost its presence locally, he said Tiffany & Co would reinforced its yellow diamond collection in the country and targeted to launch additional designs for rings and necklaces later this year.

He said the company had launched a new collection, Harmony, last month to enforce its bridal collection.

"We will also reinforce the yellow diamond collection later in the year," he said.

To further complement its growth, Lafay said the company was in the process of extending its KLCC store to make it into two floors.

The store is expected to be fully operational next month.

"Our sales are growing fast and we have more and more local customers including tourists. We want to enlarge the store so as to display more products and to have more space to treat customers," he added.

Besides KLCC, its other outlet is located at Pavilion, Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur.
